An Irish fly with a great reputation the Bibio is used during the hatches in April and May of the chironomids nicknamed ‘Duckfly’. A size 12 is a good pattern to have on your cast during this hatch and the larger sizes, 10 and 8 are good top droppers when boat fishing in the traditional style.
