Another famous sea trout fly accounting for numerous catches here and in Ireland. It has travelled well and catches rainbows in the reservoirs and still waters of Scotland and England. Evolved by one Peter Ross of Perthshire in the late nineteenth century. He altered the already established Teal and Red fly and turned a good pattern into a killing one, so that today, as far as the Teal series of flies is concerned, without doubt the Peter Ross tops the list.
